Game Changers for your Skin & Hair! 💃

You likely have read about or even applied Hyaluronic Acid to your skin since it is popular and common among commercial skincare brands.

I am a strong proponent of nourishing skin from the inside out. Your skin will suffer as you age without supplementing your diet with essential minerals and vitamins. In previous newsletters, I discussed the importance of taking Zinc, Resveratrol, and Astaxanthin.

According to world-renowned detox expert Dr. Wendy Myers, "Recent groundbreaking studies show that taking Hyaluronic Acid as a supplement, in the proper form and dosage, keeps your skin dewy, plump, hydrated, and supple. After only 28 days, participants in a study (who all showed mild-to-moderate skin aging) had more hydrated skin, better tone, and wrinkles vanished from their faces."

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is an age-defying molecule that prevents dry skin. It acts like a sponge, binding to water molecules and allowing skin to retain moisture. Dr. Myers says, "It's much better to take it internally than to apply it topically."

HA fuels your cells with the moisture they need to fight wrinkles.
One of the most common reasons wrinkles form is because your skin stops making enough HA. As a result, your skin begins to dry out, and wrinkles start to form. When your skin is hydrated, it exudes more youth, shine, luster, suppleness, and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
HA even keeps hair hydrated. Experts recommend taking HA to help bring more moisture to your scalp, strengthen hair, and improve its elasticity.

Silica is also a beauty star nutrient that supercharges your cells to absorb more collagen (a protein that gives skin its 'bounce') from your foods and supplements and even helps your body make more of its own collagen! Silica can significantly impact how your skin looks because our body produces less and less collagen as we age. Around the age of 20, collagen levels start to decline by roughly 1% each year.

Silica acts as a glue that bonds collagen to cells and makes it harder for toxins to slow down collagen production. You need enough Silica daily to maintain healthy collagen levels and age gracefully. The difference can be looking great for your age or ten years older! Unfortunately, many people are deficient in this mineral, and it's evident in how aggressively they age.

"In a recent study, says Dr. Myers, women between the ages of 40 and 65, who all showed visible signs of skin aging, took Silica daily. At the end of the study period, the skin on their faces and necks was softer, brighter, and smoother. These women were beaming with joy over their results!"

Another essential trace mineral for skin, hair, and nails is Selenium.

Selenium fuels your skin with potent antioxidants that protect it from oxidative stress and even help repair sun-damaged skin! That's excellent news because sun damage is the #1 cause of wrinkles, sagging, dark spots, and other signs of skin aging. Research shows that Selenium also supports your hair's health and explicitly plays a role in its pigmentation. Selenium deficiency can result in hair's premature graying and thinning.

"This mineral is absolutely essential, Dr. Myers says, for helping detoxify from several heavy metals, including mercury, which damage your skin and cause oxidative stress."

Health experts warn that most women in America don't get even half of the recommended daily intake of Selenium. So, you're almost certainly missing out on the skin-beautifying effects of this remarkable mineral.

Dr. Wendy Myers developed her single formula, Ageless AF, with therapeutic dosages of Selenium, Silica, Hyaluronic Acid, and Biotin (to shield your skin from age-accelerating toxins).
